Syracuse basketball pays dividends for football again! After visiting this weekend for the Orange basketball game against Duke, Delray Beach's Adly Enoicy was sold enough on SU to bail on FIU. He was one of five to verbally commit to Syracuse over the weekend.
Stat Me: Enoicy is a big dude, at 6'4" and 224 pounds, which is why he's listed as a hybrid tight end or wide receiver, depending on who you ask (he's very likely to play TE for Syracuse, though). No matter the position, I'm sure we can find a place for an athlete like him.
Seein' Stars: Scout - 3*, Rivals - 2*, 247 - 3*, ESPN - 4*
Who's Crying?: Mostly Florida International, where he was verbally committed until this weekend. He also had offers from Vanderbilt, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest and Wisconsin.
Money Quote: "I just really want to get up there and check out the campus and see the classes," Enoicy said to the Sun-Sentinel before heading to SU for the weekend. The paper already had a feeling before he left that George McDonald might be able to flip him to Syracuse on the visit.
Which SU Coach Gets a Bonus?: George McDonald, you wonderful human being! Like others, Enoicy cited McDonald (and in this case, academics) as why he was interested in the Orange.
Fun Fact: Enoicy attends Delray Beach, Fla.'s Atlantic High School, which was also attended by breakout Syracuse receiver and return man Brisly Estime. Reunited and it feels so good!
