Steve Ishmael verbally committed to the Orange over the weekend, but now he makes it official on National Signing Day

Maybe DOCTOR Gross wants to play Miami every year because this year's class brought in so many recruits from the area? Among those recruits is wide receiver Steve Ishmael, whose verbal commitment leaked out yesterday, and now makes it official today.

Stat Me: Ishmael is 6'2" and 175 pounds, making him a decent-sized target for Terrel Hunt next season. Plus, with that speed (runs a 4.5 40-yard dash), he's bound to find himself open down the field at least a few times.

Seein' Stars: Scout - 3*, Rivals - 3*, 247 - 3*, ESPN - 3*

Who's Crying?: Boston College, Cincinnati, FIU, Pitt, Louisville, Hawaii, Tennessee, West Virginia and others.

Money Quote: Ishmael is ready to prove his part at the college level, as he shared with South Florida High School Sports. In the same piece, he also mentioned the motivating factors of friend and fellow SU recruit Alin Edouard, as well as George McDonald.

Which SU Coach Gets a Bonus?: As mentioned up above, it's George McDonald and his uncanny ability to attract kids from South Florida to come to the freezing temperatures of Syracuse.

Fun Fact: One of the most famous alums from Ishmael's North Miami Beach High School is Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg.
