Miami Dade County native Antwan Cordy has announced his commitment to Syracuse, and today he signs with the Orange. As you might recall, the defensive back made his official visit for the weekend of the Duke game and committed shortly after.
Stat Me: At 5'9" and 175 pounds, Cordy likely fits a cornerback role more so than he would work out as a safety. He's pretty quick with a 4.45 40-yard dash time and has a max bench of 285 (per Rivals).
Seein' Stars: Scout - 2*, Rivals - 2*, 247 - 2*, ESPN - NR
Who's Crying?: Duke, Georgia Tech, Hawaii, Marshall and Minnesota (extra lulz on that last one)
Money Quote: Cordy appears to be pretty pleased with his decision:
I'm So thankful for everything getting this opportunity to play at the Next level #Thankful Godfirst 🙏🙏🙏🙏

Which SU Coach Gets a Bonus?: George McDonald, who was doin' work in Florida, as per usual, helped bring Cordy into the fold.
Fun Fact: Cordy's from Homestead, Fla.'s South Dade High School, which is also the alma mater of New York Giants DB Antre Rolle.
