While it might have been a blessing in disguise for Rakeem Christmas, it's still going to be really good to have Baye Keita back in the Syracuse Orange line-up. According to Jim Boeheim, it's looking like it might happen on Wednesday against the Boston College Eagles.
Boeheim spoke with Not-As-Disloyal-As-He-Used-To-Be Idiot Andy Katz to discuss a bunch of topics, including BMK's eventual return.
"We think he'll be ready to go against Boston College (on) Wednesday and that's crucial for us. It's hard to play with only one center. Rakeem Christmas made a great adjustment, played the whole game against NC State and really was the dominant player in the game. That injury has worked out well to give Rakeem the idea that 'I can do this.' The injury will work out long run for us to be a good thing."
"The last two games without our backup it [was] really a difference playing six guys. Seven you can get away with. Seven is fine. I think we can still play eight. We're working another freshman (Tyler Roberson) in there. I don't think depth is a problem for us. It might be with three games in six or seven days. We played three straight games in Maui with this rotation and came out all right. I'm not worried about the depth."
