Syracuse Orange (5-1) vs. No. 17 Michigan Wolverines (5-1) GameThread

Syracuse's annual ACC-B10 Challenge game takes us to Ann Arbor for a huge early-season test.

Mark Konezny-USA TODAY Sports

The last time the Syracuse Orange met the Michigan Wolverines on the basketball court, a trip to the National Title game was on the line. The stakes aren't quite that high this time, though conference bragging rights are certainly part of the deal.

Michigan has won five of its first six game this season, their lone loss coming to upcoming SU opponent Villanova in the Progressive Legends Classic. The Wolverines are led by sophomore guard Zak Irvin (17.7 PPG) and junior guard Caris Levert (17.5 PPG, 6.2 RPG). Both are three- point shooting threats -- Irvin is 19-of-42 (.452) and LeVert 13-of-25 (.500) on the season. Sophomore Derrick Walton (13.8 PPG, 5.4 RPG) is also averaging double-digit points.

Give the TNIAAM podcast a listen for some chatter about the game as well as talk about Chris McCullough's potential.

Some say the Big Ten is overtaking the ACC head-to-head, but, maybe not so much?

Jared puts together a preview of the teams, lineups and match-ups over here.

We're not too high on SU's chances tonight, but, hopefully we're all wrong.
