Jim O'Connor-USA TODAY Sports

The Syracuse Orange (4-1) return to action Friday evening when they host the Holy Cross Crusaders (3-1) in the Carrier Dome. Tip is schedule for 7:00 pm. ET

The all-time series between the two clubs dates back to 1949. Syracuse has a slim, 13-12 advantage in the pairings, and has won the last five meetings. The most recent encounter came in 2006-07 when the Orange won, 72-64. Syracuse and Holy Cross have met twice during Jim Boeheim’s tenure as head coach with the Orange winning both.

Holy Cross is averaging 79.7 points and shooting at a 50% clip from the field. Junior swingman Eric Green averages a club-best 14.0 points per game and has converted 59% of his shots. Senior guard Justin Burrell is averaging 12.0 points and 5.3 assists an outing and senior forward Malcolm Miller has produced 10.3 points per game. Sophomore forward Malachi Alexander leads the club in rebound average (6.0).

Rakeem Christmas (16 PPG) and Chris McCullough (15.6 PPG) lead the scoring way for Syracuse. Kaleb Joseph is dishing out 5.8 assists per game while Chrismas leads the Orange with 9.2 RPG. No word on whether or not Tyler Roberson will see the court.

Jared breaks down all the particulars, such as line-ups and expectations, here.

The TNIAAM crew is expecting a Syracuse victory, though not an easy one.

Jeremy Ryan will be at the Dome covering the game and presser for us, so, give him a follow.
