The Syracuse Orange (2-1) will attempt to bounce back from their first defeat of the season when they take on the Iowa Hawkeyes (2-1) in the consolation game of the 2K Sports Classic. Tip is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. in Madison Square Garden.
The game will be televised on ESPN2 and available on ESPN3 as well.
It's the third-ever meeting between the two schools and SU is still looking for its first victory. In 1957, the Orange lost to #20 Iowa in the championship game of the Queen City Tournament, 58-52. In 1980, the two teams met in the NCAA East Region in Philadelphia and Iowa won, 88-77.
In case you missed last night's loss to the California Golden Bears, Jared recapped the game and Michael added five takeaways (other than we're not going undefeated this year).
Our preview of the rosters and game can be found here.
Predictions are somewhat split amongst TNIAAM folks. Most think Iowa will win but there's hope SU can turn things around quickly.
