The Duke Blue Devils will come to the Carrier Dome this Saturday as the No. 22 team in the nation. So it's not much of a surprise to find out they'll be favored to beat the struggling Syracuse Orange as well.
According to various oddsmakers, the Devils open as a 3.5-point favorite for this weekend's matchup. Oddsshark differs slightly by putting Duke down as a 4-point favorite.
Duke enters the game with a 7-1 record while riding a three-game winning streak capped with a double overtime 51-48 victory over Pitt this weekend. Despite the ACC Coastal being a s***show all season, the Blue Devils have pulled ahead of the pack and control their own destiny to the ACC Championship Game. Their lone loss was a 22-10 defeat at the hands of the Miami Hurricanes, which seems pretty #goacc in retrospect. Perhaps that should give us hope.
Syracuse enters the game in the midst of their second losing streak of the season. After a 2-0 start, the Orange have ridden a wave of injuries and rough offensive outputs to a 3-6 record. Now on the brink of missing a bowl game for the first time in three seasons, SU needed to win-out in order to qualify. They never like to make it easy, do they?
Syracuse vs. Duke takes place Saturday, November 8 at 12:30 p.m. EST.
