This Sunday, the 9-seed Syracuse Orange men's soccer club will host an NCAA Tournament second-round game against either either Penn State (12-5-1) or Hartwick (6-9-4). Head coach Ian McIntyre wants you to be there and he's put in place a special plan for Syracuse students who might want to attend (I sure hope coach checked wit the ticket office first...)
The first 250 Syracuse University and ESF students in attendance will receive free admission.
"It's a small way to say a very big 'thank you' to our student body for supporting us all season," McIntyre said. "We have a great soccer community and their passion has been critical to creating one of the most exciting atmospheres in the country for college soccer."
"I can't say enough how much their (the fans) support means to the players and us coaches," McIntyre said. "We wouldn't have been able to accomplish what we have so far without them."Students wishing to take advantage of McIntyre's offer should report to the student ticket booth outside the SU Soccer Stadium and present a valid Syracuse University or ESF ID card.
Gates open at 1 p.m. and kickoff is set for 2 p.m. Tickets for adults is $8 and $5 for the 251st student to arrive and every one after them.
