Seven SU Charity Sports Auction Items Worth Bidding On

The SU Charity Sports Auction takes place December 6 during the St. John's game. Here's some of the items up for grabs.

Hi, Boston College.
Hi, Boston College.

The SU Charity Sports Auction is back! First, a quick reminder of what it is and who it benefits...

"The Sport Management (SPM) Club at Syracuse University will hold its 10th Annual Charity Sports Auction on Saturday, Dec. 6 at the Carrier Dome. Silent bidding on hundreds of auction items, including sports memorabilia and hands-on experiences, electronics and tickets to major sporting events, will take place in the backcourt during the SU men’s basketball game against St. Johns University. Doors will open for the auction at 3:15 p.m. through Gates A, B, C & E. Game time is 5:15 p.m. The SPM Club is a student-run organization in the David B. Falk College of Sport and Human Dynamics’ Sport Management Department. Since its founding in 2005, the Club has raised nearly $213,000 for local charities. All of the proceeds from this year’s auction will benefit Make-A-Wish of Central New York."

A noble endeavor and one worth supporting. If you're not going to participate in the auction, you can also make a donation.

I was able to peruse some of the auction items and thought I'd round up some of the items up for grabs that seemed like the most exciting. At least to me. (Misnomer Alert: ALL of the items are worth bidding on, of course...). Here's my top seven...

Diamond Ferri signed player card. Keep this handy for whenever you're around Boston College fans.

Floyd Little signed image. Floyd Little is the greatest living human on the planet. This is legal tender.

Donovan McNabb signed football. I don't remember him throwing a white football but I'll take your word for it.

Rob Long signed hat. It says something that we can have one of our punters sign a hat and it's immediately the thing I want most out of any option...

MCW signed basketball. Sorry, Lord & Tayler gift cards cannot be used in auction.

Tyler Ennis signed basketball. Jim Boeheim thinks they should have held onto this for one more year and used it in next year's auction, but, here it is.

DVD of The Express plus a movie premiere pass signed by Dennis Quaid. I still can't believe Dennis Quaid had to volunteer for the movie premiere...
