Sorry, Hilby The German Juggling Boy, this year we're not going to need your services.
Orange Madness, the annual event to kick-off the upcoming Syracuse Orange basketball season, takes places tonight at the Carrier Dome. Time to welcome back Trevor Cooney, Rakeem Christmas, Michael Gbinije, DaJuan Coleman (in spirit) and the rest of the returnees while also welcoming Chris McCullough and Kaleb Joseph into the mix.
If you're going, well, you're probably not reading this. If you're not going and want to watch, you've got some local options. The event is available on the following local TWCS channels:
- Syracuse and Rochester: 323
- Buffalo: 87
- Albany: 324
- New York City/Hudson Valley: 325
The rest of us? SOL, apparently. Thankfully Sean Farrell and Michael Burke are on hand to keep us posted on what's going on.
As for the events that will take place during the evening...
- Scrimmages by both the men's and women's squads
- An SU "Legends" scrimmage featuring Lawrence Moten, John Wallace, Pearl Washington and others
- A dunk contest
- A 3-point shooting contest
- A live DJ and other entertainment
- The Pride of the Orange – New York's College Band
- 2014-15 Team Schedule Posters
- Special Opportunities for Season Ticket Holders
- First-ever "Cuse Selfie Stations," in which fans can take their picture with their favorite players, coaches and legends
