Introducing the Syracuse Orange Football Awards!

For the first time here at TNIAAM, we're giving out football-related awards! And you get to vote on it with us!

The 2013 Syracuse football season is over. It's a sad reality, and one which I'm struggling to cope with. It's also how we arrived at this point...

THE 2013 SYRACUSE ORANGE FOOTBALL AWARDS

The SOFAs, as you'll refer to them from now on, will recap the highs and lows of this past football season, letting us relive every moment as if it just happened yesterday. Some might say this is overkill, given the bipolar tendencies of Syracuse football. Oh well...

You're all very familiar with the S.O.B. Awards, and these will follow along the same basic setup. The football staff (who you're already well acquainted with) has filled out their own nominations already, and those votes will make up 50 percent of the balloting. The other 50 percent, as you've probably assumed already, will come from you, the faithful TNIAAM readership. At times, these will seem like very obvious selections. At others, perhaps not. Regardless, we're going to talk about it with inside voices (unless I deem it necessary to express feelings in ALL CAPS, as I'm wont to do from time to time).

Without further ado, here are your 2013 SOFA categories. Expect voting threads to appear from today through next week:

  • Offensive MVP
  • Defensive MVP
  • Coach of the Year
  • GIF of the Year
  • Best Game
  • Worst Game
  • Top Individual Game Performance
  • Favorite ACC Fan Base
  • Rookie of the Year
  • Top Senior
  • DABO of the Year
  • Best Moment

This is a brave new world, folks. Embrace it accordingly.
