When the Syracuse Orange take on the Duke Blue Devils tomorrow, there's one guy wearing orange who might know a thing or two about where those guys in blue are coming from.
Michael Gbinije, who transferred from Duke to Syracuse last year, has some good insight into what makes both schools tick. He shared that insight with Donna Ditota headed into the ballgame.
On what made Duke so great...
"I always loved to eat at Panda Express. Great food there. They've got a wide variety of selections to eat. If you like to wine and dine, that's a good school to go to."
Michael, a choice between Mongolian Beef and Orange Chicken does not qualify as a "wide" selection, nor does it qualify as "great food," and it certainly does not come anywhere near the requisite to "wine and dine."
Luckily, Mike got away from that all nonsense and came to Syracuse where we classed him up…wait, what? Ah crap...
"The mall in Syracuse is the best mall I've been a part of since I've been alive. I can't tell you how many times I've been to the mall and act like I've been there for the first time. It's so big, especially coming from Virginia, where I'm from. Every store, every genre, it's in there. It's a great place to shop. I tried to go go-kart racing; I think I was too tall for that. No. 1 store I go in is, of course, GameStop. And the movie theater, oh my goodness. And yeah, I'm ready for that Cheesecake Factory to open."
1. "The mall in Syracuse is the best mall I've been a part of since I've been alive." That's just adorable.
2. What's a mall genre?
3. I really wish you weren't ready for that Cheesecake Factory to open. I really, really wish you weren't.
