Goodbye SUAthletics.com, Hello Cuse.com

This ain't your Daddy's Syracuse Athletics official website...

I don't mean to alarm you but SUAthletics.com is dead.

R.I.P. SUAthletics.com. You were always there for us with ambiguously-positive takes on Syracuse losses, DOC Gross quote-laden puff pieces and Key Bank ads. You will be missed.

But in your place, like a phoenix rising from your ashes, is Cuse.com!!!

So what is Cuse.com (other than just SUAthletics.com with a visual makeover?)...

Welcome to the new CUSE.com, where our student-athletes take center stage! Being New York's College Team carries with it great opportunity and responsibility. With CUSE.com, Syracuse Athletics moves to a modern, never-before seen style in college athletics. Like New York, we are leading the way and setting the standard that others will follow – remaking what a college athletics website should be. We present our most important component – our student-athletes – in big, broad ways to celebrate their accomplishments and honor their dedication to making Syracuse Athletics the premiere choice for those who follow them in wearing the Orange, and for the hundreds of thousands of fans around the world who support our teams with great excitement and passion.

CUSE.com is just the beginning. While CUSE.com is designed to give the user a consistent, yet customized experience no matter what device you are using to access our content, a new tablet and mobile app is also now available in the App Store. We will also be introducing CUSE.TV in the coming days as your home for live streaming, press conferences, exclusive video and more. The 'Cuse Social site will also connect fans from around the world with all that is being said and written about the 'Cuse on all kinds of different media platforms in real time, and is easily accessible by clicking the 'Cuse Social link on the top right of the home page. When the conversation heats up, that link will flash to invite you to enter the discussion. As time goes by, look for more amenities and additions as CUSE.com was built to handle new and emerging technology, to give Orange Nation the best online experience possible.

Every public relations press release writing bone in my body is on fire right now.

Modern! Big! Broad! Excitement! Passion! Amenities! I love amenities!

Seriously though, good on SU Athletics for the upgrade. It was long overdue and it looks like Syracuse Orange Athletics will have a lot more shiny bells and loud whistles in the coming weeks. Still no word on whether or not Russ DeRemer's FoodStuffs PigOut Jamboree is part of the Cuse.TV lineup.

Now as for that SUAthletics Twitter handle, well, that's another story.
