First Meeting: In 1966, some kid named Jim Boeheim scored 15 points for the Orangemen in the 1966 East Region final but Duke held on for a 91-81 victory to advance to the Final Four.

Last Meeting: The 5-seed Orangemen and 1-seed Blue Devils met in the 1998 Sweet Sixteen. Duke had an answer for everything SU threw at them and they advanced with an 80-67 victory. Todd Burgan led SU with 20 points.

School Connections: Jim Boeheim and Mike Krzyzewski are very good friends who coached together for roughly a decade for Team USA. Schembechler vs. Hayes, this ain't.

Head Coach Bio: Do you really need this? You know Coach K. He's been at Duke since 1980 and has four NCAA Titles, 11 Final Four appearances, 12 ACC regular season titles and 13 ACC Tournament championships. He also won two gold medals as head coach of Team USA at the Olympics. He's doing very well.

"Fear Me, I've Killed Hundreds Of Timelords": It's going to be a showdown of two of the nation's top freshman thanks to Jabari Parker, who leads the Devils with 18.8 PPG and 8.1 RPG. If anyone's going to go off on an insane three-point shooting spree, it's probably going to be Rodney Hood (45% from 3PT).

If Syracuse Wins…: The Orange will officially be off to their best start in school history and the road to the ACC title will go through them.

If Syracuse Loses…: It will continue a disturbing recent trend of losing games in front of record home crowds and will allow doubts about SU's top-dog status to begin.
