Before the No. 2 Syracuse Orange host the Duke Blue Devils in a highly-anticipated ACC showdown on Saturday, the Orange will be tested in Winston-Salem with a road tilt against the Wake Forest Demon Deacons. The Deacs aren't too shabby and they have a penchant for crowd-storming victories over better squads in their building. So, if there was ever a time when a Syracuse game would be considered a trap game, this is it.
If, you know, Jim Boeheim believed in that kind of nonsense.
"There's no such thing as a trap game for a coach," Boeheim said. "That's a media term, and it only has to do with people in the media. Players and coaches understand that every game is difficult and every road game is difficult. We barely won our last two road games."
It's almost as if this Boeheim guy knows a thing or two about conference basketball games, especially those on the road. The chances SU goes into this game looking past the Deacs are pretty slim. And you probably already figured that.
Besides...
It's snowing in Winston Salem. Great sign. #OrangeNation
