Doin’ The Math: Projecting Syracuse’s ACC Slate to Calculate Bowl Chances : Orange Fizz

It’s simple math for the Orange: win three of your home games and find one game to win on the road. Aside from the two games against top 10 teams, Clemson and Florida State, any game is winnable for the Orange. It’s up to the team to find a way to win four of them if it wants to be bowling this winter.

Syracuse cruises to 3-0 win over UMass | The Daily Orange

Utilizing its superior swiftness to its advantage, the Orange (6-2-0, 1-2 Atlantic Coast) had no problems cruising past Massachusetts (0-8-1) to a 3-0 victory on Wednesday before an SU Soccer Stadium crowd of 593. The Minutemen could not keep up with the SU attack, and Syracuse extended its winning streak to three games.

ESPN analysts put Syracuse in Top 10 for future power rankings |

The Orange boast something not many schools can match, and that’s a pair of McDonald’s All-Americans on the low post in Rakeem Christmas and DaJuan Coleman. However, they’ve been something of a disappointment over the past two seasons.

Non-conference schedule assessment: Atlantic Coast Conference -

New ACC members Syracuse get a rematch against the Indiana Hoosiers, who they ousted in the NCAA Tournament last season. Both Duke and North Carolina drew tough games, with Duke hosting Michigan and North Carolina travelling to Michigan State. Even Maryland, on its way out of the ACC after this season, gets a fond farewell package with a road game against Ohio State.

Guest column: Clemson will be chance for Syracuse football fans to show up |

Call me crazy, but I think the Orange is going to play a great game against Clemson. I hope the Tigers discover that Terrel Hunt is a magic genie who is not going back into the bottle.
