TNIAAM College Football Pick'em: Week 5 Schedule & Preview

The Week 5 lines are here! Let the games continue!

Mitch Stringer-USA TODAY Sports

Welcome back everyone. Just like last week, I will not take too much of your time and get right to the schedule and betting lines, but before I do let me breakdown a few things.

1) Before you make your picks this week, take note that Maryland is 4-0 at covering the spread this year while Florida State is 3-0 in the same category. Syracuse and Georgia Tech are 3-1 this season.

2) If you think taking the points in a game with a 20-point spread or larger is a solid strategy, I will Lee Corso you and say, "NOT SO FAST MY FRIENDS!"

So far this season, teams needing to cover a 20-point spread or more are an impressive 10-4-1 -- last week both FSU, Virginia and Miami covered spreads of 40-points or more! You throw out a poor 1-3-1 performance in Week 2, the big favorites are 9-1 overall!

This week, FSU, Clemson and N.C. State will be put to the test.

3) The best pick'em week so far is Klydefrog's 12-1 showing in Week 1. Let me to be the first to say that's impressive considering nobody has come close to that. Other big showings have been E Scott's 8-2 performance in Week 3, while playrugby! went 10-2-1 last week.

4) With all that said -- and I know I throw out the worst week, but scanning it still doesn't matter much -- a large majority of us are above .500 with our picks. This means, we would be making some money if we actually bet.

Oh, and before we go tonight's Thursday Night ACC showdown features Virginia Tech at Georgia Tech. The Yellow Jackets are 7-point favorites.

As always, a easier copy and paste version of the picks are in the comments section.
