2012 Stats: As a reserve strong safety, Desir appeared in all 13 games and notched 24 tackles. He also returned 20 punts for a total of 105 yards.

2013 Projections: He's the guy in the punt returning category, and listed as second team strong safety. After spending some time behind #SHAMARKO, Desir is ready to show 'Cuse Nation what he's made of.

How'd He Get Here?: There were offers from FIU, West Virginia, Western Michigan, Texas Tech, and Kansas, but at the end of the day, he decided on Syracuse.

What'd Scout/Rivals Say?: Two and three stars, respectively.

Money Quote: On how returning punts in college differs from high school:

"It's a whole different thing at this level," he said of the high, hanging kicks that come off the feet of Division I punters. "It takes lots of practice and concentration. I like doing it."
