Syracuse Basketball: Colgate, Obviously, Back On The Schedule In November

New, 16 comments

Colgate is back on the basketball schedule. Obviously.

Nate Shron

You can change our conference and upend our traditions but there are three things that will never, ever change. Death, taxes and the Colgate Raiders visiting the Carrier Dome to play the Syracuse Orange in a basketball game once a season.

The Syracuse University basketball team will face Colgate for the 166th time when the two teams meet at the Carrier Dome on Saturday, Nov. 16.

This will be Game No. 166 for the two squads. As you probably suspected, Syracuse's lead is sizable (120-45) as is their win streak (47 consecutive). Here's a reminder of what happened in last year's contest.

I'd go into Colgate's record last season and notable returning players, but, c'mon, does it matter? We've been through this enough times that we don't need to B.S. one another.

So, let's update the schedule as we know it...

Friday, November 8 - Cornell Big Red (Carrier Dome)

Tuesday, November 12 - Fordham Rams (Carrier Dome)

Saturday, November 16 - Colgate Raiders (Carrier Dome)

Monday, November 18 - St. Francis, NY Terriers (Carrier Dome but part of Maui Invitational, ESPN2)

Monday, November 25 - Minnesota Golden Gophers (Lahaina Civic Center, Maui Invitational, ESPN2)

Tuesday, November 26 - Game 2 TBD (Lahaina Civic Center, Maui Invitational, ESPN2)

Wednesday, November 27 - Game 3 TBD (Lahaina Civic Center, Maui Invitational)

Tuesday, December 3 - Indiana Hoosiers (Carrier Dome, ESPN)

Sunday, December 15 - St. John's Red Storm (Madison Square Garden)

Friday, December 20 - High Point Panthers (Carrier Dome)

Saturday, February 1 - Duke Blue Devils (Carrier Dome, ESPN)
