The Syracuse Orange basketball team is preparing to head north (we don't get to say that very often) to take on Canada. Specifically, McGill University, Bishops University, Carleton University and Ottawa University (Go Gee-Gees!). Tickets are still on sale but it's also good to know you don't have to break out your passport to watch these contests.
Time Warner Cable SportsChannel will televise Syracuse University's four exhibition basketball games in Canada, it was announced today. The games will air on Time Warner Cable SportsChannel across New York State with Matt Park, the voice of the Orange, calling play-by-play and Syracuse legend and Canada native Leo Rautins as the color commentator.
"What better way to celebrate the beginning of the school year than by following The Orange on its trip to Canada," said Dr. Daryl Gross, Syracuse director of athletics. "I'd like to thank Time Warner Cable SportsChannel for working so hard to help us make these games available to our incredible fans."
