Get To Know Your Orange Man - #76, OG Jesse Wolf-Gould

GTKYOM rolls on...

Now it's time for a Syracuse Orange lineman that's "good as Gould" (obscure Simpsons reference, ya'll).

Name: Jesse Wolf-Gould

Position: Offensive Guard

Year: Junior

Height: 6'4"

Weight: 328

Hometown: Oneonta, NY

High School: Oneonta High School

2012 Stats: Did not play.

2013 Projections: JWG is mired behind Rob Trudo and Omari Palmer at the left guard spot. And while depth is always an issue with the offensive line, it's an uphill climb to playing time for the walk-on.

How'd He Get Here?: The walk-on stayed close to home and joined the Orange. Good idea.

Scout/Rivals Said?: All three have profiles for Jesse, but no stars were given out. ESPN did give him a grade of 40.

Money Quote: 'Taking my talents to Syracuse (pending acceptance) cheeeaaa son!'"

Links of Wonder: Those Syracuse football walk-ons are a hardy bunch ... and, oh, Doug Marrone loves 'em

Tweets of Wonder: JWG has strong opinions...

What Does Shafer Think: Dunno but here's what Marrone had to say about the him two years ago when he stepped into the center role when injuries decimated the O-line.

"If you throw someone in there that's never really played that position, it isn't fair to the unit," Marrone said. "Jesse Wolf-Gould played center in high school, and we put him in there today and he did a nice job for us. I give him credit.

Interesting Nugget O'Interest: JWG played in the 2011 Empower New York State High School Football Classic in the Carrier Dome, so don't let anyone ever tell you he has yet to play a game in the Dome.

Let Us Get a Good Look Atchya: Not any video out there but here's JWG and other SU players hangin' in Times Square...
