Let's wrap up Week 2 of GTNAO with a look at one of our young o-linemen.

Let's wrap up Week 2 of GTNAO with a look at one of our young o-linemen...

Name: Kyle Knapp

Position: Offensive Tackle

Year: RS Freshman

Height: 6'4"

Weight: 290 (per Twitter)

Hometown: Kalamazoo, MI

High School: Portage Central High School

2012 Stats: N/A

2013 Projections: Knapp's actually got a decent chance at seeing some action thanks to a lack of depth on the o-line and some extremely hard work last year on the scout team. He's currently slotted as the back-up LT to Sean Hickey.

How'd He Get Here?: After starting for three years at Portage Central, the Kalamazoo native took his Syracuse offer over those from Cincinnati, South Alabama, Florida International and around half of the MAC, including Akron (duh) and his father's alma mater Western Michigan.

Scout/Rivals Said?: Three stars from both services. It's nice when we all get along.

Money Quote: "I feel like I’m going to work my butt off, and I’m very coachable. I feel like the biggest thing is definitely my work ethic. If I don’t get it right the first time, I’m going to go out and try to get it right the second time."

Links of Wonder: Here's a fun anecdote about how Iron Brandon Sharpe had Knapp to thank for working him so much in practice last year.

Tweets of Wonder:

What Does Shafer Think: Dunno but here's Greg Adkins' thoughts last year...

"I like the guys we have because they’re willing to work, even the guys who are not playing this year in Kyle Knapp, Jason Emerich and Omari Palmer. They are going over and working against our defense and getting valuable reps against good players on a daily basis.

Interesting Nugget O'Interest: Knapp was quite the wrestler in high school.

Let Us Get a Good Look Atchya: Kyle is a Vine master...
