As Week 1 of GTNAO 2013 wraps up, we also wrap up the 90's (until a bunch of newbies get assigned the #s that we missed)...

Position: Linebacker

Year: RS Freshman

High School: Winter Park High School

2012 Stats: Washington did not see any action and redshirted.

2013 Projections: Washington's part of one of the most solid units on the Orange this season, the linebacking corp. While that's good news for the team, it's not great for his playing prospects. Dyshawn Davis, Marquis Spruill and Cameron Lynch are pretty locked in to the start roles and Lewellyn Coker, Luke Arcinega and Oliver Vigille are all higher up on the depth chart. Washington may be looking at special teams duties this season, which, in the long-term isn't a bad thing.

How'd He Get Here?: The Orange apparently beat out some serious competition for Washington's services. He had 17 offers on the table, including South Carolina, West Virginia, Illinois, Pitt and Purdue and Cincinnati.

What'd Scout/Rivals Say?: Rivals said three stars, Scout said two stars and ESPN said three stars.

Interesting Nugget O'Interest: Washington's high school teammate Bobby Van Warner was also being recruited by Syracuse. Van Warner's parents are both SU grads, and may have been a positive influence on Washington ending up in orange. Van Warner ended up at Memphis.
