JoJo Marasco has skills. Skills so good he inspired this scene from Archer.

So it's only natural that JoJo be nominated for the Tewaaraton Award given annually to the best collegiate lacrosse player in the country. This season, JoJo led the Orange in points (53) and assists (35) with the latter being a single season record for a midfielder.

Marasco was also named the Big East Conference's midfielder of the year after his stats were good for second in assists per game and fourth for points per game.

The rest of the nominees are players that should sound familiar to those who have followed Cuse Lacrosse this season: attackmen Rob Pannell (Cornell), Marcus Holman (North Carolina), Lyle Thompson (Albany) and midfielder Tom Schreiber (Princeton).

Syracuse has had two other Tewaaraton winners since the award began in 2001: Mike Powell (2002 & 2004) and Mike Leveille in 2008.

The ceremony will be held at the Smithsonian in Washington DC on Thursday, May 30.
