Atlantic Coast Convos: Previewing Boston College Football

Syracuse will officially be a member of the ACC in less than two months. As Orange fans prepare to join their new conference, we're previewing each of our future gridiron rivals.

USA TODAY Sports

Welcome to the first iteration of TNIAAM's new weekly podcast, Atlantic Coast Convos. During the offseason, we'll be previewing the conference's other 13 football teams, while helping Syracuse fans get more familiar with our new conference rivals. While this podcast does share its name and author with the blog Atlantic Coast Convos, the two are separate entities. Hopefully that helps clear up some confusion!

In this week's podcast, John Cassillo and Dan Lyons discuss new/old rival, the Boston College Eagles, and the current state of that football program. As you may or may not know already, Syracuse and Boston College will both be playing in the ACC's Atlantic Division, and as such, will face off annually (just like we used to!). Getting into specifics, the main conversation points include:

  • Steve Addazio's arrival as Boston College's new head coach

  • What the Eagles' offense will look like under coordinator Ryan Day

  • The joke that was the Frank Spaziani regime

  • Recruiting in the northeast and figurative fence-building

  • UConn, and all the things that make it terrible

  • BC's season outlook for 2013

  • And of course, a brief mention of Diamond Ferri!

Plan accordingly: The podcast lasts a full 55 minutes.
