However you feel about the Syracuse Orange losing in the Final Four to the Michigan Wolverines, do remember that the players feel 1,000x worse. They're the ones who actually put in the work to get here and, for guys like Brandon Triche and James Southerland, that was it on their college career.

For Triche, especially, this was his team. He leaves as a four-year starter and the winningest Syracuse player of all time. He also leaves after getting so close to finishing his career perfectly...but not close enough. He took to Facebook to talk it out...

I'm heartbroken. Syracuse gave me everything, I could only hope to return the favor. I'm sorry to who we let down, but this year was special to us from the start. My 4 years included a lot of hardships, but also so much success. I'm gunna miss this place so much. I'm gunna miss the fans even more. You all are amazing. Thank you so much for supporting me throughout my years at Cuse. I love you coach Boeheim, all the coaches I've had at Cuse and all my teammates. Thank you. And shut it down Cuse. Once a Syracuse Orange, always a Syracuse Orange.

That'll do, Howard's Nephew. That'll do.
