Before the Syracuse Orange take on the Michigan Wolverines in the Final Four on Saturday evening in the Georgia Dome, there's a whole bunch of events, parties and whatnot to keep everyone busy. Whether you're in Atlanta or watching everything from TV, here's the full scoop (let me know if I forgot anything in the comments):
Friday
2:00 p.m. ET - The SU basketball team will hold their open practice in the Georgia Dome between 2:00 and 2:50. It's open to the public (assuming there's room). If you're not in Atlanta, expect to see a whole crapton of blurry Instagram photos of this on Twitter.
3:00 p.m. ET – AT&T Block Party at Centennial Park featuring the Zac Brown Band as the headliner with My Morning Jacket and Saints of Valory, whatever all that is.
4:44 p.m. ET - The Syracuse University Alumni Club of Atlanta is hosting a Happy Hour at Hudson Grille Downtown through 9 p.m. Technically it starts at 4:30 but if you're cool, you'll get there at 4:44. (When in doubt, this is also homebase for all things SU fan all weekend).
Late Night - Spend the evening "with" Derrick Coleman, Billy Owens and other SU alums at Park Bar. They're hosting an evening of drinks, dancing, DJs and other fun things that probably start with D. They're serving a drink called "The Orangeman," which I'm guessing is orange juice and vodka, but, maybe not.
Saturday
12:00 p.m. ET - Derrick Coleman and Billy Owens are BACK! Today you can find them at Bar One, hosting a party until 4:00. It's free but expect there to be a bit of a crowd (Couldn't we get a better photo of Billy Owns for the promo?).
1:00 p.m. ET - The Sour Sitrus Society will be taking part in the Battle of the Final Four Bands at Buick Arena. Go root them on!
3:00 p.m. ET – The Coca-Cola Zero Countdown concert in Centennial Park, featuring Muse with Flo Rida, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and Ludacris (obviously).
4:44 p.m. ET - Back to the Hudson Grille Downtown for the pre-game party.
8:49 p.m. ET - If you're in Atlanta but don't have tickets to the game, head over to Hudson Grille Sandy Springs to watch along with fellow Orange fans.
