I'm Calling A Time-Out, You Guys

I've been working every day since 2005. I need a breather.

USA TODAY Sports

Other than vacations and mornings I overslept, I've been writing this site every day since September 2005. I've seen things, man. The Greg Robinson Era. Back-to-back NITs. The Bernie Fine Scandal. Disloyal idiots and idiotic questions and people who don't know their business and so on.

So you know what, I need a time-out.

Just wanted to give you a heads up I'm taking May off. Mostly. I'll still be around. I'll still be tweeting. I'll probably still be posting stuff once in a while. But for all intents and purposes, I'm on vacation.

The good news is that business will continue as usual. Jared Smith is in charge and he'll be your point person for all things Syracuse. Everyone else will also be pitching in so you'll still be getting plenty of Cuse coverage.

Might I also use this opportunity to recommend that you use this time to go nuts in the FanShots and FanPosts. Add your voice to the conversation if you haven't already. We have the ability to move them up to the top now so, who knows, maybe your stuff will end up there.

Like I said, I'll be around. While I am looking for a bit of breather from TNIAAM, I'm also looking for a little more free time to work on a project I've had on the back burner. It's a novel I've been working on in dribs and drabs. No, it's not Syracuse-related. It's the Sci-Fi story I've been wanting to tell for some time now. I've never written anything like it before but I'm excited to really dig into it and see what I can do. If nothing else, I'll eventually turn it into a shady Kickstarter campaign so you can pay for my Zach Braff-directed movie adaptation.

Anyway, I'm not going anywhere. Just going on vacation. Carry on.
