The Syracuse Orange have officially made it to Atlanta, thereby completing Step One in the long process that could eventually lead to their second National Title.

The team was greeted by a gaggle of Orange alums at their hotel Tuesday as they begin preparing for their game against the Michigan Wolverines on Saturday in the Georgia Dome.

"It was fun, it was good to see all the support," Syracuse guard Trevor Cooney said. "I was just shocked. This was an experience in itself, just coming into the hotel."

Said Southerland: "It’s nice to see we have a little fan base in Atlanta."

Syracuse.com has video of the arrival...

I get that the players are trying to stay cool, but, smile everyone! This is fun (right)?

Also, am I the only one who checked to make sure Michael Carter-Williams wasn't holding a Lord & Taylor bag? (I think it was a Coca-Cola swag bag).

The next time we'll probably see them is at their open practice on Friday at the Georgia Dome from 2-2:50 p.m.
