The wide receiver position is already one of legitimate concern for Syracuse Orange fans. With a lot of up-and-coming and unproven talent, there's a lot of questions. Those questions got slightly louder today with news that junior WR Keenan Hale will miss the entire 2013 season with the Dreaded Lower Body Injury:
Syracuse wide receiver Keenan Hale will miss the Orange Spring game and the 2013 season due to a lower body injury that will require surgery. Syracuse University physician Dr. Brad Raphael will perform the surgery in the near future.
Hale has not played in any games so far for Syracuse, so we're not losing any specific numbers. However, you had to assume Hale would have been in the mix behind Jarrod West, Christopher Clark, Jeremiah Kobena and the other wideouts.
Good news is, I assume he'll take a medical redshirt and have two more seasons of eligibility. Get better, Keenan.
