Syracuse Orange Blogger Awards Voting: Worst Game

What do you consider Syracuse's Worst Game of 2012-2013?

Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports

The 2013 Syracuse Orange Blogger (S.O.B.) Awards are here. Honoring the players, coaches, fans and moments from the 2012-2013 Syracuse Orange basketball season, we here at TNIAAM are splitting the process between ourselves and you, the dear readers.

The category up for debate at the moment is Worst Game of the Season. From where I'm sitting, there's a pretty clear favorite (or anti-favorite), but let's run through the choices...

Temple 83 - Syracuse 79: The Myth-Killer. Think back to how you felt about Syracuse Basketball before this game. Combined with last season, the Orange were a juggernaut of a program. This was the first time in a long time the team felt...human. We all looked around at one another and said..."Oh crap."

UConn 66 - Syracuse 58: Losing to UConn never feels good. Losing to UConn in the midst of a season where they're a program in turmoil and have nothing to play for? Yucky.

Georgetown 57 - Syracuse 46: It was supposed to be perfect. The largest crowd in the history of the Carrier Dome (and therefore college basketball), witnessing Syracuse beating Georgetown one last time. Instead, Otto Porter crushed us and Hoya fans showered us with The Carrier Dome Is Now Closed jeers.

Georgetown 61 - Syracuse 39: I mean...I still don't know what happened. At the very least we expected Syracuse to try and take from the Hoyas what they taken from us weeks earlier. Instead, it was arguably the most depressing loss since...what...that Seton Hall one from a few years back? The 1996 National Title game? I have no idea.

Louisville 78 - Syracuse 61: For one half, it looked like the Syracuse Orange were unstoppable and en route to yet another amazing Big East Tournament run to the title. And then the second half started... Louisville absolutely dominated the Orange with their press, leaving Triche & MCW looking dazed and confused. There was no doubt who the better squad was.

Michigan 61 - Syracuse 56: Not to rehash this one again but...Syracuse should have won. I still don't know how to explain how Syracuse was in this game in the final seconds, but, they were. Bad calls aside, the Orange were two or three shots away from playing Louisville for the National Title. Alas...

Below you'll find a poll to cast your vote in. Cast it. Then, in the comments, provide some commentary on your selection. Can be a sentence. Can be a couple sentences. Can be a paragraph or two.

We'll close voting in 24 hours and tally up the results. The TNIAAM crew will make their own selection and then we'll combine the results to pick our winner. We'll announce the winner in a post next week that includes some of your comments as well as ours.
