Sounds Like 'Orangenation Rising' Is A Thing

If I'm reading SU Athletics properly, I think they may have chosen this year's tagline and it's, well, what you've come to expect.

Ah, the annual theme, slogan or tagline of the Syracuse Orange football season. It's what lets us know how to feel about the upcoming season. It usually hints at expectations. It's often generic enough to confuse us.

If I'm reading SU Athletics properly, I think they may have chosen this year's tagline and it's, well, what you've come to expect.

All fans are invited to join 'Orangenation Rising,' a state of mind where passion, tradition and die-hard loyalty intersect, by renewing their season tickets before April 3 or reserving new 2013 season tickets with a $25 deposit.

Okay.

I'm sure there's a reason Orange Nation is now Orangenation. At least I hope there is. Is it cause of the hashtag? Is it a reference to something I'm too old to realize? Fine, whatever, but...wut?

Oh, and then there's this...

"A state of mind where passion, tradition and die-hard loyalty intersect."
