Sure, there's a good chance that you're focused on the Syracuse Orange men's basketball game against the California Golden Bears this Saturday. However, I would be remiss if I didn't mention there is a whole bunch of other ways to root for the Orange this weekend.
11:20 AM EST
The Syracuse Orange women's basketball team kicks off their own NCAA Tournament fun when they take on the Creighton Bluejays in a 7-10 match-up in Knoxville, TN. The Orange have put together one of the best seasons in program history and have a chance to take the next step, though a win will almost certainly put them in the crosshairs of mighty Tennessee. The game will be televised on ESPN2.
6:00 PM EST
If you're in Syracuse and looking for a way to blow off some steam before the evening tip, why not go root for the Orange who are actually playing in the Dome? The SU softball team squares off against Harvard in a two-game slate starting Saturday and wrapping up Sunday. It costs you $5, no biggie.
7:00 PM EST
The Syracuse Orange men's lacrosse team travels to Philadelphia to take on the Villanova Wildcats. Despite the fact that SU is 5-1 and Nova is 1-5, the Orange have a bit of payback on the mind. Villanova handed SU their first-ever Big East loss last year. Of course, the Orange can't expect to dominate just based on records. Even with one win in six tries, the Wildcats have lost only to ranked teams, including three currently in the top ten. The game won't be televised but you'll be able to listen along on radio.
9:45 PM EST
Thought it will probably end up being closer to 10:30 PM, the Orange will finally take the floor against Cal for the chance to go back to the Sweet Sixteen. And hopefully, complete a triple-victory kind of day.
