This is the time of year when someone usually comes out with one of those "definitive fan maps" that shows exactly where all the fans for each team are. They're usually chocked full of errors and assumptions and we spend all day complaining about them.
Well whether you like it or not, Facebook actually is a pretty good barometer of where the fans are for each school and they've put together some handy-dandy maps to show where all the rooting interests are for the NCAA Tournament, specifically the Syracuse Orange rooting interests.
It's a little hard to tell if those tiny blots are for Syracuse or Illinois but at the very least, it looks like we've got NY, PA and CT on lockdown. Low blow, New Jersey.
This one is a breakdown of conference allegiances. Obviously, a lot of that Big East blue will become ACC red soon enough. When it does, it really gives you a strong indicator of the ACC's reach across the East Coast (and what's with all that ACC love out West?).
They also did a breakdown of a couple rivalries, like Duke-UNC, but not for Syracuse-Georgetown. Would have been cool to see what the rest of the country thinks of the two schools and who they root for when we play.
