Big East Tournament: Syracuse Orange (24-8) vs. Pitt Panthers (24-7) GameThread

Syracuse is hoping the Panthers have that familiar double-bye rust while the Panthers are hoping Syracuse goes back to playing iffy basketball against solid talent.

USA TODAY Sports

Wednesday, the Syracuse Orange got back into form with a win over the Seton Hall Pirates. Thursday, they'll try to find some semblance of momentum for the first time in weeks while also sticking a modicum of revenge the Pittsburgh Panthers' way in a Big East Tournament quarterfinals showdown.

The two future ACC rivals will finish off what has become a fairly-heated Big East basketball rivalry (much more so than in football). Syracuse is hoping the Panthers have that familiar double-bye rust while the Panthers are hoping Syracuse goes back to playing iffy basketball against solid talent.

The Orange would also love the win to secure a better NCAA seed, or at least get back in the good graces of those who wonder what happened to the former top five squad.
