Last time the Syracuse Orange met the Louisville Cardinals, they were ranked No. 6 and No. 1. This time, not quite as high, but the stakes seem to be more-so.

Let's get to re-know the Cards before Saturday's Big East game.

Date: Saturday, March 2nd

Time: 12:00 p.m. EST

Location: Carrier Dome, Syracuse, NY

TV: CBS

Announcers: Ian Eagle, Clark Kellogg

Radio: Syracuse IMG Network/WAER 88.3/WTKW 99.5 FM/ESPN 97.7 FM/Sirius 112/XM 197

Records: Syracuse 22-6 (10-5), Louisville 23-5 (11-4)

Rankings: Syracuse No. 12/12, Louisville No. 10/9

Louisville's Last Game: Russ Smith scored 17 points and Peyton Siva scored 16 as Louisville cruised to a 79-58 victory over DePaul.

Series: Lousiville leads 13-7.

Current Streak: 3, Syracuse

Last Game: Syracuse upset the then-No. 1 Cards back in January, 70-68. At the time, we all thought it was the beginning of a dominant run. Not as much.

Louisville Last Year: Syracuse might have beaten the Cardinals twice but it was Louisville left standing in the final weekend. They capped a 22-9 regular season with a Big East Championship and a trip to the Final Four where they were felled by eventual-champ Kentucky.

Louisville Coach: Rick Pitino (12th season) - You may have heard of him. Jim Boeheim likes him, even though sometimes he doesn't.

"Fear Me, I've Killed Hundreds Of Timelords": Russ Smith is the undisputed scoring leader of the team, averaging 18.4 PPG. He's also the team's most prolific three-point shooter. As you might have gathered, both of those things can cause problems for us. Don't sleep on Chane Behanan (11.0 PPG) and Peyton Siva (10.1 PPG).

Fun Fact: This isn't really a fact, but, it's fun...

Unexciting Reason To Watch: We're in that part of the season when many Syracuse fans assume we're going to lose games like this. That's probably you.

Exciting Reason To Watch: This is the last major Big East game in the Carrier Dome. Respect.
