No. 8 Syracuse Orange vs. Providence Friars Game Thread

Syracuse's Big East Conference swan song continues Wednesday, as Providence, one of the original members of the Big East Conference, visits the Carrier Dome for the final time as a league foe.

If there was ever to be a regular-seaosn contest described as a "trap game" Wednesday's showdown with the Providence Friars would be it.

The Friars, winners of four straight, visit The Loud House for the final time as a Big East Conference opponent, just days before the Georgetown Hoyas do the same, and many are hoping a letdown is not in the cards when the game tips-off at 7:00 p.m.

The game is being broadcast on ESPN2 with Mike Patrick doing the play-by-play. Another special guest in the building is everyone's best friend, referee Karl Hess!

SU is looking to win its 38th straight home and showcase a spark that has been missing for the past few weeks.
