Yesterday was a blast for college football fans. And for Syracuse fans especially, they got one of the two outcomes we were hoping for -- UCF beating SMU. Unfortunately SUNJ couldn't help out on the other end, but these things happen.
So where do things stand right now? SB Nation will be updating the bowl tracker throughout the day, so consider that your main resource for who's going where. Based on that, the Pinstripe Bowl is already out, but everything else is technically still up for grabs. I'd take the Military Bowl off the table as well, though you've probably already done that.
Personally, I think the Heart of Dallas ends up happening, since we're a private school and have a larger likelihood of getting people to/having people in Texas than a state school like Pitt or Washington State or Oregon State. But what do the "experts" think?
The mothership says Syracuse to the Little Caesar's Bowl in Detroit to face off with MAC champion Bowling Green.
USA Today echoes that matchup.
CBS's Jerry Palm says Heart of Dallas, versus North Texas. The local Mean Green should have a very sizable turnout for that game.
Sports Illustrated feels similarly. As does Phil Steele.
ESPN's updated theirs' now. Brad Edwards is on the Heart of Dallas train as well. Mark Schlabach, on the other hand, has us in the Texas Bowl against Minnesota.
Scout says we're headed to Shreveport to take on the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers in the AdvoCare V100 Bowl. I doubt attendance will be high in that one.

As outlined above, most likely destinations are probably the Little Caesar's Bowl and the Heart of Dallas Bowl. I'd still love to see us play in the Poinsettia Bowl, but that game back-fills with a MAC team when Army can't make it. So they may be stuck with Buffalo (who will have 10 fans there) unless they can make some sort of trade to get Syracuse or another school. I hope they make a trade for the Orange, for obviously biased reasons.
But what say you? Where are the Orange going bowling? Chat about possible destinations, leaked bowl info and the day's lead-up to tonight's official announcements below.
