Syracuse Basketball Ticket Updates For Duke, Maryland Games

New single-game tix for the Duke home game and Maryland away game are available.

Rejoice, Syracuse Orange fans. (HEY, YOU…IN THAT CUBICLE EATING AN EGG SALAD SANDWICH WHILE EVERYONE ELSE WENT OUT TO CHILI'S FOR LUNCH...I SAID REJOICE!). You're going to have a few more ticket options to see your beloved basketball team beat ACC folk.

First up, the coveted hame game against the Duke Blue Devils. You've heard how it's sold out and there are no more tickets. Well, you heard WRONG.

SU will release basketball tickets formerly preserved for potential season-ticket buyers Thursday at 9 a.m. Those tickets include "a few hundred" seats to the Feb. 1 Duke game in the Carrier Dome. SU's chief athletic department communications officer Joe Giansante said Tuesday that those tickets, plus tickets to other coveted games, will be available at the university's website and at the Dome box office.

According to an SU rep, the school is looking to cap attendance at 35,100 or so, which would break the record set against Georgetown last year.

Meanwhile, Orange fans in the DC area might remember hearing that the Maryland Terrapins was locking out SU fans from game tickets for the February 24th game. Those days are over and single-game tickets are now available. It's Maryland's only ACC home game against a ranked opponent and it's a Big Monday game, so tickets will go fast. Cuse fans can buy tickets by calling Maryland Box Office (Howard Ticker) at 301-405-8225 or buying tickets online at UMTERPS.com. A maximum of 8 tickets can be purchased at $55 each plus handling fees.
