If you've read this site long enough, you know I have more than a few pie in the sky dreams for Syracuse. A rivalry with Maryland. Important football games in the Dome. And a semi-pro basketball team consisting of as many former Syracuse basketball players as you can muster.

The Rochester RazorSharks were apparently listening and they have heeded that last one.

Former Syracuse basketball guards Mookie Jones and Louie McCroskey have made the roster for the Rochester RazorSharks.

The RazorSharks, who are coached by former Syracuse All-American Lawrence Moten, play in the 13-team professional Premier Basketball League.

To me, it's the biggest no-brainer possible if you're running a team like this. It matters less that Mookie & McCroskey weren't stars at SU and more that there is name-recognition. And of course having Moten on the sidelines doesn't hurt either.

Also, oh Mookie, how we've missed you! I wonder how much has changed since we last spoke...

"Mookie's been shooting the ball pretty well," Moten said. "I just want him to show that same passion on defense."

So…nothing, then?

If you live in Rochester, guess what, you have a new job for TNIAAM. Report for duty.
