2013 Texas Bowl Week Highlights Include Rodeo Bowl, Children's Center Visit

Before the big game, there's a whole host of events for the players and fans this week.

It's 2013 Texas Bowl Week! The Syracuse Orange and Minnesota Golden Gophers are less than a week away from squaring off for the right to hoist a trophy while wearing a cowboy hat.

Before we get there, there's a whole schedule of events for the week leading up. Check it out below so you'll be ready for what's coming.

Monday, December 23

  • Syracuse Hotel Arrival – Time: Approx. Noon
  • Initial SU Coach & Player Interviews
  • Rodeo Bowl (both teams) – 4:30-7:30 p.m. – George Ranch Historical Park

Tuesday, December 24

  • Syracuse practice – Rice Stadium

Wednesday, December 25

  • Syracuse practice– Rice Stadium

Thursday, December 26

  • Team Luncheon – 11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. – Westin Galleria
  • Coaches’ Press Conference – 1:00 p.m. – Westin Galleria (following Team Luncheon)
  • Syracuse Visit to DePelchin Children’s Center – 2:00-2:45 p.m.

Friday, December 27

  • MazdaTexFest open to fans from both schools – 1:30-5:00 p.m. in Budweiser Plaza
  • 2013 Texas Bowl kicks off – 5:00 p.m.
