As the Black Eyed Peas love to say at Bar Mitzvahs, let's get it started! The 2013-2014 basketball season officially kicks off tonight and the Syracuse Orange will host the Cornell Big Red for some old school Upstate New York fun. At least for us.
Let's find out how the TNIAAM crew feels about the season-opener and then we'll find out what you think...
John Cassillo
Syracuse 84 - Cornell 59
The Central New York "rivalry" (nope) kicks off the season for both programs tonight, and it's slated to be as one-sided as one would expect. Big Red's seen recent success, but this Syracuse team is just on a whole 'nother level. Expect the Orange to stifle Cornell's scorers early, while testing out what works on offense in what should be a rout. Don't complain that things will likely be uneventful here. The real tests start up in less than a month.

Syracuse 70 - Cornell 48
It feels so good that basketball season is back, JACK!
Chris Daughtrey
Syracuse 95 - Cornell 68
I don't think it's a stretch to say that Syracuse will handle the Cornell Big Red with relative ease. Even a couple years ago, when they had their best team even, Cornell didn't really belong in the same gym as the Orange. I was a bit concerned about Syracuse's lack of scoring during the exhibitions, but I think Tyler Ennis will play a lot more minutes and keep the offense flowing.
Sean Keeley
Syracuse 87 - Cornell 60
My only fear about this game is that Cornell is the perfect team for a "Unheralded White Guy Comes Off Bench And Hits Twelve Three-Pointers" performance. Short of that, I just can't imagine a scenario where the talent on our side of the ball loses to the talent on their side of the ball. Shame, I want this game to be better.
Now it's your turn...
