It's good to see the Syracuse-Maryland rivalry getting going again. My memory bank goes back to the 1970s and to players like Boomer Esiason and Randy White kicking our butts in Archbold Stadium. Esiason was a Long island kid who Frank Maloney recruited as a linebacker. Boomer politely said, "No thanks" ... and went on to become a star quarterback at Maryland and in the NFL.
