The Orange begin their quest for a third Maui Invitational crown with a test against the undefeated Golden Gophers and their Pitino-y head coach.

As the game tips off between the Syracuse Orange and Minnesota Golden Gophers in the 2013 Maui Invitational,you can officially take "Syracuse Hasn't Left New York Since…" off your Generic SU Complaints Board. However, make sure you move "You Can't Really Take Anything Away From Those Games (Unless Syracuse Loses Them & Then It Says A Lot About The State Of The Program And The ACC)" up to the top of the board. Only makes sense.

The Orange will battle the Gophers at 5:30 p.m. EST (12:30 p.m. local) in the second game of the Maui Invitational. The winner and loser will take on the winner and loser of the Arkansas - Cal game, respectively. And at that point, we'll see whether or not my Twitterfeed will crumble under the weight of "Can can get right back in this" tweets.

The game is being televised on ESPN2, so, no whining. You can get all the other info you need here.
