As the season winds down, the Orange has turned to freshmen Devante McFarlane and George Morris II for more carries. Both have been effective with McFarlane averaging nearly seven yards per carry and Morris averaging over four yards per carry. Each has shown burst of speeds that Jerome Smith and Prince-Tyson Gulley don’t show as often.
Four games into the Syracuse basketball season, some of the preseason observations and predictions are starting to take shape. Others are falling by the wayside.

"It's because we're better than that," Broyld said. "Usually teams don't really bounce back. We have a lot of character on this team and we play better after a loss like that. We play better when odds are against us.
Syracuse posted a 10-7-1 record, including a 3-7-1 mark in the ACC. SU finished with 10 points and in ninth place in the final conference standings, one point shy of earning an ACC Tournament berth.
