Even though Doug Marrone is gone, it looks like two mainstays of his tenure as head coach of the Syracuse Orange are still here:
1. A large number of notable players missing critical time due to injury.
2. Vague injury reports that seem to imply bad things.
Syracuse running back Prince-Tyson Gulley, defensive tackle Eric Crume and linebacker Dyshawn Davis will miss Spring practice due to upper body injuries that required surgery. Syracuse University physician Dr. Brad Raphael performed the surgery in early January. Gulley, Crume and Davis will be evaluated throughout the rehabilitation process. Their status for the 2013 season will be determined in June.
Never say goodbye, Upper Body Injuries & Lower Body Injures.
Gulley, as you know, was the star of the Pinstripe Bowl. Davis is arguably Syracuse's top returning defensive player. Crume is described as a "rising junior" which is a nice way of saying he's been doing okay.
The Orange can't really afford to lose any of these guys so commence your finger crossing for the 2013 Syracuse Football season. Right on time.
