Just because it's Syracuse Orange football season, it doesn't mean we can't catch up on all things Syracuse Orange basketball. And chances are, some of you are just biding time to get this stuff anyway...
When the Canisius Golden Griffins visit the Dome on December 15th, it's going to be The Battle To Proudly Wear Your Old Jamesville-DeWitt Varsity Jacket since it will include SU's Brandon Triche & DaJuan Coleman against Golden Griff Alshwan Hymes.
Hymes, a muscular 6-foot-2 scoring guard, graduated from Jamesville-DeWitt High School with Syracuse University guard Brandon Triche. He and Triche won two state championships together; the two teamed with SU freshman Dajuan Coleman to take one of those titles in 2009.
The game also pits JD's Finest against JD's Finest as the trio were all a part of that team during the King of Kings League this past summer.
Hymes averaged 15.4 PPG last year and is a deep-ball threat. You know what that means? He and Triche will combine for 87 three-point attempts in that game.
Meanwhile I posted some photos that Dakari Johnson put up on Twitter over the weekend. Johnson visited Syracuse as part of a recruiting trip, attended the Stony Brook game (good work, no-shows) and met with Jim Boeheim. He's "a consensus top-five player in the Class of 2014."
Finally, and shame of me for waiting so long, but the latest episode of The Mike & C.J. Show is up. Drink in the goodness, which includes appearances by DaJuan Coleman, Jerami Grant and a crutched Scoop Jardine:
In case you're lazy, everyone got measured (shoes off). MC-Dubz (6'5"), C.J. (6'7"), DaJuan (6'9") and Jerami (6'8").
