Ridiculously Expensive Battle On The Midway Travel Packages Now Available

Tickets for the November 9th Battle on the Midway between the Syracuse Orange and San Diego St. Aztecs are going to be extremely sparse. I know a lot of folks have asked about availability and it looks like the first round of tickets are officially on sale for alums.

SU Athletics is offering a travel package to alumni that includes seats at the game and a whole lot more.

They are, um, not cheap.

The cheapest package (Bow and Stern Package) will run you $1,200 per person and includes a baseline seat and ticket to an "exclusive" pre-game party.

The Port and Starboard Package will run you $1,500 per person and gets you side court seats for the game, a ticket to exclusive pre-game party and a game day program (the real value of this package).

You really start to get the goodies when you sign up for the Premier Package, which, for $2,200 per person, gets you...

  • Premium seats for Battle on the Midway game
  • Access to Thursday Media Day and Shoot Around on the flight deck of USS Midway
  • One ticket to Thursday Battle on the Midway Luncheon
  • One ticket to exclusive pre-game party
  • Commemorative Battle on the Midway autographed basketball (one per ticket)
  • Game day program

And finally, if you're Mr. or Mrs. Monybags, you can sign up for the Elite Team Travel package. For a whopping $4,999 per person, you can get:

  • Travel with the team on charter aircraft from Syracuse
  • Overnight accommodations for 2 guests in deluxe room at team hotel
  • All ground transportation and transfers
  • Premium seats for Battle on the Midway game
  • Enjoy a meal with the SU coaches and team
  • Access to Thursday Media Day and Shoot Around on the flight deck of USS Midway
  • One ticket to Thursday Battle on the Midway Luncheon
  • One ticket to exclusive pre-game party
  • Commemorative Battle on the Midway autographed basketball (one per ticket)
  • Game day program

These options are available first-come, first-serve and obviously tickets are limited. If you're holding out hope to get a ticket to this game without getting one of these packages, being in the military stationed in San Diego or having a parent who is a CEO at one of the game's sponsors...good luck.
