Funder, Funder, FUNDER BURK!

Name: Quinta Funderburk

Position: Wide Receiver

Year: Sophomore

Height: 6'3"

Weight: 193

Hometown: Norfolk, VA

High School: Oscar F. Smith HS

2011 Stats: Did not see the field at Arkansas

2012 Projections: He will most likely have to sit out for 2012 due to the NCAA transfer rules.

How'd He Get Here?: Funderburk was never really comfortable at Arkansas, and decided to transfer this past spring. Word is that he wanted to be closer to home, so no one tell him where Syracuse is. Syracuse and Virginia were the two schools who were linked to Funderburk after he was granted his release from Arkansas.

Funderburk had a Syracuse offer out of high school, but ended up choosing Arkansas over SU, as well as Alabama, Clemson, UConn, Florida, Maryland, Michigan, North Carolina, Penn State, USC, Virginia, Virginia Tech, and West Virginia.

What'd Scout/Rivals Say?: Four stars from Scout, three from rivals.

Money Quote: Don't worry Quinta, Arkansas =/= the world

Links of Wonder: Want to see an Arkansas blogger over-analyze Funderburk's tweets? Here you go...

What Doug Marrone thinks:

"Funderburk, obviously he will sit out a year and that will be his redshirt."

Well then...

Interesting Nugget O'Interest: Funderburk played high school ball with defensive back Jaston George, which may be a reason that he decided on Syracuse.
